The One Young World Summit, set to take place in Montreal from September 18-21, 2024, is gearing up
to be a monumental event in the global leadership landscape. The summit, which
annually gathers young leaders from over 190 countries, aims to accelerate
social impact through innovation and collaboration.

As the managing director of One Young World, Ella Robertson has been a pivotal figure in the organization’s growth and outreach.
Under her leadership, the summit has seen a significant increase in both
participant engagement and global recognition. “We are the only event that’s
really welcomed by a city in such an extraordinary way,” Robertson remarked,
highlighting the unique position of One Young World in fostering global youth leadership.

The 2024 summit will be hosted at Montreal’s Bell Centre and the Montreal Convention Centre.
These venues not only offer state-of-the-art facilities but also reflect the
summit’s commitment to sustainability, with the convention center operating on
a carbon-neutral basis. This aligns with One Young World’s broader mission to
promote environmental responsibility among young leaders.

Scholarships play a crucial role in making the summit accessible. According to Ella Robertson, approximately one-third of attendees are on fully
funded scholarships, covering all expenses from flights to visas. This year’s
scholarships have already attracted an overwhelming 48,000 applications, a
testament to the summit’s growing influence.

Past summits have featured a roster of illustrious speakers, including Meghan Markle, Bill
Clinton, and Kofi Annan. The 2024 summit promises to continue this tradition,
with notable guests like Kerry Kennedy and Paul Polman expected to speak.

Ella Robertson emphasizes that One Young World’s mission extends beyond the four-day summit. The organization offers
year-round programs designed to cultivate leadership skills and foster global
cooperation. “We know that One Young World is not just four days, but that
programmatically, we are offering things to young leaders all year round,” Robertson stated.

As the world eagerly anticipates the Montreal summit, the impact of One Young World and the
leadership of Ella Robertson continue to inspire and shape the next generation
of global changemakers. Go to this page for additional information.
